Cheap Airfares to India (ctd)

If you want cheap airfares to India and my pick of the bunch, Yatra, doesn’t cover your country for some reason, there are few other options for you here, as well as information on how you can get around India once you’re there, if you’re not fond of train travel (why?) or you have particular time constraints.

www.makemytrip.com These guys have an Indian site and a US site. They can have some interesting and unusual specials from time to time also. For example, at the time of writing, they were having a ‘Buy a return cheap airfare to India and get all your domestic flights free’ special—that’s pretty cool, I’ve never seen that before.

www.cleartrip.com These guys have a new section for train travel as well as cheap airfares, though you do need to know (from your guide book) the station names, not just city names. Still helpful though.

www.skyscanner.net This site is a be-all-and-end-all find-it tool for cheap flights around the world. You don’t book through them, it’s a research tool, then you go through to whichever site has the cheapest fare advertised and book with them. Remember though, that it may not be the cheapest available fare as with Yatra, where any search will find you real, available fares.
